La Petite Maison's Bikini – How to Make It

WHere is an easy take on a beverage from our latest menu. Designed as a batch premix which is packed full of flavours of the holiday season, rendering it ideal for hosting a holiday party. Save the extra citrus syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, puddings, or for another batch of bikinis.

Bikini

Serves 10 servings

To make the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar

For the Drink (yields 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Directions

Making the Cordial: Place all the ingredients inside a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing to dissolve. After that, remove from the heat and leave to reach room temperature fully. Pour into an sealable bottle, cap it and store chilled, it can be stored for up to one month.

To make Batch Mix: Combine the specified spirits and syrup into a sizeable container, leave to sit for one hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, so it's completely strained.

To serve: Pour 85ml of the cocktail base into your stirring glass packed with ice, and stir lightly for a minute until cold. Strain into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with some cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
