'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the initial significant achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
